Job Description:

Screens and edits submissions for platforms within an internet-based program. Native-level English fluency is required, and regional language fluency may be required. Knowledge of the region of coverage is required. Must be proficient in the nuances of required languages including grammar and journalism editing standards.   May serve as assignment editor. Other tasks include researching local and regional media in the region, identifying coverage angles, coordinating translations, updating associated social media platforms, assisting in the development and implementation of marketing campaigns, and technical tasks utilizing locally developed tools associated with internet-based publications.   

Master’s Degree and 10+ years of related experience required; relevant education and experience may be accepted in lieu of degree.  Journalism experience, including experience writing or editing for internet-based or print news publications is highly preferred. Select positions require DoD Secret clearance. 

The likely salary range for this position is $83,429 - $104,650. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
