Operations partners with all areas of Goldman Sachs to deliver our institutional, consumer and asset management businesses and to provide a seamless experience for our clients. We manage and process our clients’ business, including onboarding, post-trade processing and regulatory compliance. Our teams work closely across the firm to develop and deliver new products and services, while mitigating operational risk and enhancing the client experience. We drive process and technology change to scale and automate our businesses. Operations professionals are either embedded in the business segment or division that they support, or they support multiple businesses and are part of core Operations.

JOB SUMMARY AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

Client Implementation Management (CIM) team sits within Client Operations and has primary responsibility for all reference data at an account level and is the starting point for an account’s relationship and lifecycle with GSAM. By ensuring accuracy and timeliness of data, we facilitate the business in achieving desired objectives for all aspects of account onboarding, portfolio accounting, cash management, client reporting. You will obtain a comprehensive knowledge of products, markets and market related setups. You will also drive initiatives and provide solutions that will have an impact on client experience and risk mitigation. 

Primary Responsibilities

Understand and implement client’s requirement by liaising with internal and external counterparties to ensure seamless transition and onboarding to GSAMCoordinate and manage tasks across a multi-disciplined team to ensure all operational information relating to an account event is received and systems are set up prior to account trading activity. Develop strong working relationships with Institutional/ Funds oversight teams, Trade Management, Sales, Trading desks, other onboarding teams and EngineeringBecome a risk manager by ensuring data integrity and challenging where required Influence account setup and structure decisions by providing guidance to BusinessEngage in opportunities to review processes, analyze information, make decisions and recommendations and implement and monitor proceduresProvide reporting to senior leadership and produce insightful analyses of the business upon request for management.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS 

Bachelor’s degree requiredPrevious experience in Operations and/or Financial Services industry- Relevant work experience of 2-3 yearsBe highly collaborative and team-oriented Demonstrate strong analytical and interpersonal skills Excellent communication skills both written and verbal Must be motivated and hard workingExceptional attention to detail and accuracy. Strong risk management focus.Ability to handle multiple projects, deadlines and broad based coverageKnowledge and understanding of Excel, PowerPoint, Word and adaptability to other software productsAbility to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environmentAbility to think strategically, drive consensus and influence decision making
