A Day in the Life:
As a Security Guard, you play a key role in creating a safe and welcoming environment for both customers and employees. Your day begins with a visible patrol of the store to establish a secure presence. You actively monitor activity through direct observation and surveillance systems, helping to deter theft and ensure safety. While your approach is hands-off, you will respond to incidents calmly and in accordance with established procedures. This role emphasizes prevention, clear communication, and professionalism, while supporting store leadership in maintaining a secure and respectful atmosphere.
Key Responsibilities:
Monitor building access and ensure compliance with security procedures. Operate and monitor security systems including CCTV and access control. Operate and monitor Gate Keeper system. Support patrols of facilities and grounds, reporting any suspicious activity or maintenance issues. Provide escorts for associates and customers if needed. Respond to emergencies and support crisis response efforts. Assist with parking lot safety. Liaise with local law enforcement and fire departments during incidents. May support HR with investigations and termination procedures by providing access records. Maintain and clean security vehicles and any other company issued equipment.
What you bring to the table:
Must be 18 years of age or older. Minimum 1 year of experience in security or asset protection. Familiarity with security management systems and CCTV. Basic computer skills required. Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays. Strong judgment and discretion in handling sensitive situations. Must pass background check and drug screening.
