Asset Manager - Equipment Finance
Description Job Summary Citizens Bank is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented professional to join our Asset Management team within the Asset Finance Division. The role supports new business volume and profitability goals by providing competitive residual assessments based upon technical expertise, market knowledge, and sound business judgment. Primary focus of the role will be on transportation and general business equipment – trucks, trailers, warehouse equipment, etc. The Asset Manager position will be responsible for maximizing asset values through strategic lease terminations, sales to lessees or third parties. In addition, the role will maintain any assets in inventory and monitor existing residual positions for appropriateness on an on-going basis. Key Responsibilities The position will have the following responsibilities and will be accountable for the following : + Develop and defend residual and collateral value forecasts for proposed asset finance transactions based on sound research, analysis, judgment, and documentation. + Maximize portfolio value through early lease terminations, end-of-term sales, and third-party remarketing. + Properly safeguard (e.g., inspections/insurance) any returned equipment and ensure conformity with lease return provisions. + Deliver timely and accurate asset evaluations, annual reviews, and appraisals. + Establish and manage relationships with external appraisal firms and industry experts. + Assess current market trends and evaluate impacts on assigned asset classes. + Monitor and report on asset quality to senior management to measure portfolio soundness and to facilitate syndication strategies. + Recommend market-competitive return conditions and asset documentation standards for new transactions. + Evaluate and execute on the remarketing of returned or assets in inventory. + Minimum of 2 years of experience in the equipment finance industry with a strong knowledge of lease structures, and/or experience valuing various equipment assets. + Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. + Bank or commercial finance company experience a plus. + ASA or AMEA appraiser certification preferred. + Proven expertise and knowledge in a wide variety of equipment types. + Experience in asset sales and remarketing. + Knowledge of lease documentation and asset due diligence. + Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. + Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills with an ability to express ideas in a persuasive, organized, and articulate manner. + A proactive, results-driven approach to problem solving. + Strong organizational and analytical skills with a focused attention to details. + Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. + Self-motivated, confident, and decisive with a demonstrated ability to work independently. Qualifications Hours and Work Schedule Hours per Week: 40 Work Schedule: Monday – Friday Pay Transparency The salary range for this position is $105,000 - $130,000 per year, plus an opportunity to earn an annual discretionary bonus. Actual pay is based on various factors including but not limited to the work location, relevant skills, and experience.
