Asset Manager Bess

Bess Asset Manager:

Spark Power, a trusted partner in energy in North America, is looking for a Bess Asset Manager to join our Mississauga team. The Asset Manager acts as the primary point of contact for customer inquiries, acts to maintain customer relationships, leads or managers flow of projects, ensures budgets, margins, and timelines are met, and personnel resources are available. They are also responsible for sourcing out new opportunities within a customer’s facility, quoting jobs, and following up with customers. This role requires you to travel at some level of frequency annually.

What will do you as the Bess Asset Manager?

Contract managementDetailed understanding of all obligations including service responsibilities, response times, reporting scope of work, billing rates, termination clauses, etc.Customer direct contactTechnical ownership:Project electrical and mechanical designOperational understanding (design theory)Management of site turnover documentationSpare parts management (procurement and inventory)Warranty and RMA trackingRecommendations and suggestions for improvementSite safety and documentationAsset operating plansPreventative maintenance obligations and schedulingCorrective maintenance strategy (change order management, fixed price projects, etc.)Ticket management, escalation and close outCapital expenditure/Operational expenditure recommendations and managementCo-ordination with field service dispatchingFinancial accountability (Project & Portfolio level P&L)Preventative maintenance trackingCorrective maintenance job trackingSubcontractor managementQuoting and procurement for chargeable service workPerformance/Availability guarantee (if applicable)Operational requirementsReview and delivery (if applicable) of all field reportingReview of production and performance reporting (if applicable)Daily monitoring of SCADA (in parallel with Operations Centre’s (ROC) monitoring platform)Travel to customer assets as requiredOther duties as assigned

Do you have the Spark? Here’s what we’re looking for:

Five-Ten years of relevant experience in the renewable energy industry Three-Five years of experience with job quotes and project management  Post-secondary degree or diploma an asset Must have a strong background in customer engagement and sales  Solid knowledge of specific occupational code and legislation  A valid “G” class driver license with a clean driving record  Must be highly motivated with strong work ethic & excellent written & verbal communication  Proficient in Microsoft platforms including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams, and Outlook. Able to work in a fast-paced environment with strict deadline Critical Thinking: Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.  Reading Comprehension: Understanding written sentences and paragraphs in work related documents.  Speaking: Talking to others to convey information effectively.  Writing: Communicating effectively in writing as appropriate for the needs of the audience.  Active Listening: Giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times.
