As a Project Manager within the Japan Service Delivery team, you will play a pivotal role in managing projects that drive strategic change and operational efficiency. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop and manage project plans, timelines, and materials for governance meetings. Your role will involve facilitating effective communication, influencing strategic change, and engaging with stakeholders to ensure project success. Job responsibilities
Assist in developing and managing project plans, timelines, coordinating with cross-functional teams to support project objectives. Prepare and coordinate materials, plans, and presentations for governance meetings, stakeholder engagements, and executive updates Facilitate effective communication and escalation processes regarding program status, implementation plans, management issues, priorities, and risks Influence and drive strategic change incorporating business, market and client requirements. Engage in communicating with local and regional stakeholders and proactive relationship management with internal and/or external parties Assist in operations initiatives and provide a focus around automation, utilizing various tools to enhance operational efficiency, with a comprehensive understanding of end to end processes. Assist in design, develop and coordinate the oversight and governance framework by updating policies and procedures to comply with local regulations and implementing and monitoring internal controls to ensure complianceRequired qualifications, capabilities, and skills
At least 2 years of experience in the financial operations and/or project management related roles Excellent interpersonal communication skills with fluency in both Japanese and English, being able to foster complex conversations with all levels of people (internally and externally, local and international) Excellent team member who can cultivate an inspiring team environment with an open communication culture Ability to demonstrate high risk awareness, operational control, problem solving and process improvement experience Issue handling skills is extremely important, from detection to escalation, root-cause analysis, implementation of corrective and preventative actions Advanced skills in using Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Access and PowerPoint) Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, both written and verbal Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects, ensuring accountability and issue resolution, and work under pressure and meet tight deadlines Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Demonstrated experience and current working knowledge of operations processes and deliverables Experience in delivering strategic projects with impactful resultsPreferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
Prior experience in Asset Management firms will be a plus
