Asset Management Analyst II

The Asset Management Analyst II will work in a hybrid financial, technical, and administrative role within the Asset Management Department. The primary responsibility of the role will be to provide critical day-to-day financial administration, analysis and reporting for IT including budget creation and updates, variance analysis, report/ presentation creation, benchmarking, and any involvement in cost related aspects of project planning and administration.
Additional responsibilities will include leadership of technical/process improvements including reporting improvements, robotic process automation for departmental processes, and overall automation opportunities. The role will also provide exposure to IT’s Technology Business Management (TBM) tool Apptio with opportunities for contributing to the development and improvement of the tool over time.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Develop and maintain financial reporting documents, dashboards, and benchmarks in IT Financial system Apptio.Lead IT financial activities including AOP creation, monthly variance analysis, Capital Plan creation and administration, yearly internal budget audit, and development of related reporting and presentation requirements.Assist with gathering financial and contractual information in conjunction with other U.S. Steel departments. Manage the procurement of IT equipment utilizing the Oracle ERP system.Analysis and reporting of existing services, contracts, and compliance requirements.Management of IT purchasing compliance as it progresses through the Archer the Cyber compliance system.Implementation of automation and administrative/communication improvements that will improve the performance of Asset Management or that will contribute to the overall improved performance of IT Shared Services.EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Minimum Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in an IT related field or a bachelor’s degree and 2+ years of IT related work experienceThree or more years of experience with vendor, compliance, and/or quality managementFinancial/budgeting experience or educationStrong presentation and communication skills including frequent interaction with senior leaders/executivesProblem solving and analysis abilities to make systematic and rational judgments based upon relevant informationStrong Excel and PowerPoint skillsPreferred Qualifications:Experience with IT governance concepts and practices (SOX, ISO, etc.)Knowledge of Oracle EBS, HP Service Manager, HP PPM, and reporting/data analysis toolsProficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint and ExcelFamiliarity with IT governance practices and execution WORK ENVIRONMENT/ PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:Constantly operates a computerMust be able to remain stationary 50% of the time
