ABOUT OUR ROLES
Asset Management Operations are responsible for front-to-back operational support to the Goldman Sachs Asset Management and Merchant Bank businesses in service, delivery, and processing functions across the trade, client, and product lifecycle.
We provide customized service to our clients and enable our business to grow the Asset Management franchise across traditional and alternative products. Our teams execute within a front to back operating model, delivering support across the client, product, and investment lifecycle. We also conduct risk oversight, provide change management, business intelligence, and market solutions for the division.
Operations is a dynamic, multi-faceted division that partners with all parts of the firm to provide banking, securities, and asset management services to clients around the world. In addition, Operations provides essential risk management and controls to preserve and enhance the firm's assets and its reputation. For every new product launched and every trade executed, it is Operations that develops and manages the processes and controls that enable business flow.
The Asset & Wealth Management (AWM) business is the investment management arm providing global investment opportunities to a substantial and diversified client base including institutions, governments and high net worth individuals. Goldman Sachs Asset Management is a global, broad and deep platform with diversified capabilities across public and private asset classes. We are a top 10 global asset manager with a leadership position across asset classes and key market segments.
JOB RESPONSBILITIES
Communicating and working closely with the Sales and Client Relationship teams to provide high quality service to our clients and support ongoing business initiativesLiaise with client’s appointed counterparties (custodian, prime broker etc.) to enable connectivity, establish operational flows and respond to service requests and inquiriesReview account level metrics as defined by operating standards and research, escalate, remediate exceptions as appropriateTrade confirmation and settlement across markets and products in line with internal and external cut offsTrading desk support to include ad-hoc queries as well as ongoing business initiatives.Review existing processes to identify inefficiencies within the flows and work with management to drive process changesAdapt and tailor existing content to the specific needs of the prospective client while ensuring we are providing accurate informationCollaborate with key stakeholders across compliance, legal, ESG teams to compile accurate content in a periodic manner and keep this current constantly
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree and 2-10 years of experience in Operations/Middle Office in the Financial Services industry.Experience from an operational perspective in one or more of the following products – Equities, Fixed Income, Futures, IRS. Self-motivated and proactive team player, who takes ownership and accountability.Strong verbal, written and presenting communication skillsDemonstrate ability to partner across product groups, regions and functional responsibilitiesBe a strategic thinker, possesses strong facilitation and data gathering skills to drive positive client experience and optimization of existing processesAttention to detail and ability to work to tight deadlines under pressure and to provide practical solutionsA risk mindset and meticulous attention to detail.Proven track record of partnering across teams and an ability to build and maintain relationships. Proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
