Job Title: Assembly Engineer
Job Description
This role involves driving continuous improvement initiatives focused on assembly process and equipment efficiency, reliability, material improvements, process integrity, and vehicle quality. You will work to establish strong relations with team members at all levels, providing support for development, coaching, and mentoring with an emphasis on teamwork and inclusion.
Responsibilities
+ Collaborate with international team members to enhance assembly processes.
+ Conduct activities with safety as the top priority.
+ Initiate and manage projects to improve key performance indicators (KPIs).
+ Work alongside production and maintenance departments to address chronic issues and implement countermeasures.
+ Develop and execute annual plans that align with company and departmental objectives.
+ Understand technical aspects of assembly operations and establish critical process control parameters.
+ Coordinate supplier and contractor activities, including job scope, expectations, safety, and schedules.
+ Oversee new model preparation and launch.
+ Promote two-way communication at all levels to ensure real issues are addressed.
+ Perform other related duties as assigned.
+ Work outside typical business hours and travel as needed, both domestically and internationally.

Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
+ Proficiency in cross-functional, cross-company, and cross-sectional processes
+ Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (preferred)
+ Knowledge of PLCs (preferred)
+ 3+ years of relevant experience
+ Working knowledge of automotive assembly and associated processes
+ Experience in managing cost performance, planning, target-setting, and technical knowledge of assembly equipment and processes
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $75000.00 - $110000.00/yr.
