Pay Rate: $19.65 

Basic Job Functions: Assembling components and ensuring that all parts are fitted correctly Control and adjust equipment settings to complete simple tasks accurately, according to specifications, and in a timely manner Assemble fabricated parts, components, or other units Align materials and assemble parts to build units Handle fiberglass/insulation Work with various chemicals including adhesives and hardeners Use hand and power tools to cut, drill, grind, and fasten materials Use simple measurement instruments such as tape measures and scales to verify correct product build specifications Maintain a clean and organized work area by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations General housekeeping duties (sweeping, emptying trash, etc.) Support other departments when work is slow in assembly Occasionally driving forklift Performs related duties as assigned by supervision

Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

Minimum Qualifications: Basic math skills Read and understand blueprints Use hand and /or power tools Basic reading and writing skills Preferred Qualifications: Previous experience working for a manufacturing company High school diploma and or equivalent and /or related experience Ability to read and use a tape measure to precise measurements Knowledge of 5S, Lean Manufacturing Bilingual English/Spanish, preferred
