We are seeking a skilled Assembler to join our team on a 6-month contract-to-hire basis. ResponsibilitiesProcess magnesium oxide (MgO) material into finished and semi-finished products through various machine operations and assembly techniques.Accurately read and interpret work order instructions.Operate straightener proficiently, achieving hourly production rates, and record material usage and production data.Assemble components, interconnect wiring/subassemblies, and finished goods accurately.Follow production priorities and sequences to meet customer requirements.Notify supervisors promptly of any issues affecting output requirements.Complete quality checks and report any out-of-tolerance readings immediately.Maintain a safe, clean, and organized workstation.Perform basic Preventative Maintenance (PM) tasks as assigned.Identify and communicate areas for process improvement, cost, and waste reduction.Promote positive team member and customer relations by supporting a tolerant and respectful working environment.Maintain consistent and reliable attendance to meet customer satisfaction.Participate actively and positively in problem resolution and team environments.Comply fully with all company policies and safety programs.Support compliance with ISO management system standards for continuous improvement.Participate in meetings, training, and continuing education programs.Promote and communicate core values through work performance and customer service.Essential SkillsExperience in production, mechanical assembly, electrical wiring, and schematic interpretation.Ability to read, interpret, and apply basic drawings.Proficiency in performing basic mathematical calculations.Working knowledge of tools and devices; ability to use hand-operated and power tools.High School diploma or GED with at least one year of manufacturing or fabrication experience preferred.Additional Skills & QualificationsAbility to obtain and maintain forklift certification.Strong communication skills with the ability to interact positively with a diverse group of people.Basic computer skills and familiarity with various software applications.Ability to exercise sound judgment and handle confidential information.Exceptional prioritization, time management, and organizational skills.Why Work Here?

Work Environment
Our facility, located in a beautiful and well-lit environment, accommodates 107 employees. We operate in a clean and organized shop floor where candidates should be open to getting hands dirty due to graphite work. Benefit from a company culture that supports work-life balance, offers safety and attendance bonuses, and provides uniforms and boot allowances. First or second shift opportunities available. First shift is 6am-2pm, and second shift is 2pm-10pm.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Aurora, Ohio.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $18.00 - $23.00/hr.
