Job Description:
The Assembler position is responsible for a range of assembly operations connected with sub-assembly, main and final assembly, packing, trouble shooting and adjustment of stainless steel commercial models to meet exacting operating performance. Some assemblies are built by moving the unit through progressive workstations while other units are bult complete at a single workstation. These positions may require daily and/or weekend overtime to meet customer expectations. Utilizing hand tools, power tools, fixtures, hoists and work instructions, the Assembler will also use their combined knowledge of both mechanical technology and electrical components to complete production tasks. Reporting to the Production Supervisor, this position will perform a range of assembly procedures following quality and safety processes.
Assembles equipment according to work instructions, blueprints, diagrams, and specifications, using hand tools, power tools, and precision instruments.Perform a range of operations connected with assembly of components and sub-assemblies required for assembly of dishwashers/pulpers/extractors/dehydrators/disposers Verify measurements throughout the assembly process.Maintain a clean working environment and follow established procedures for ordering parts.Perform responsibilities and tasks following Safety and Quality practices and proceduresWork with Stero/Somat team to produce waste equipment and quality dishwashing machinesRead and understand written instructions.Work independently and with others to achieve production goals.Demonstrates a high level of competency on assembling of machinesQualifications
High School or GEDOne year of manufacturing experience, preferred.Detailed orientedBasic Microsoft Office computer skillsWritten and verbal communication skillsBasic fabrication and mechanical assembly, electrical wiring experience, pipe fitting experience and/or welding experience.Time management skillsBe able to stand for prolonged periods of time.May be required to lift up to 35 poundsPeriods of working in hot/cold manufacturing environmentDemonstrates basic proficiency in reading and understanding instructions to perform assembly in proper order and sequenceAttendance is an essential function and working overtime as scheduled to meet customer expectationsITW is an equal opportunity employer.
