**Job Title: Medical Device Assembly Technician**
**Job Description**
Engage in the manufacturing and assembly of medical devices by strictly following specific procedures and manufacturing instructions. This role is pivotal in ensuring the integrity and quality of medical products through meticulous adherence to established protocols.
**Responsibilities**
+ Follow and adhere to Standard Operating Procedures, Line Clearance, Work Instructions, assembly methods, product handling methods, production drawings, Good Documentation Practices, current Good Manufacturing Practices, and Safety requirements.
+ Successfully complete training on production tasks, understand travelers/routers, identify materials, and use a microscope and production/inspection tools and equipment needed for product builds.
+ Operate tools and equipment, and complete documentation as required.
+ Perform equipment set-up, operation, and in-process inspection to accomplish assigned tasks.
+ Collaborate with Engineers/Supervisors to ensure product integrity and quality is maintained at all times.
+ Work with Engineers to develop process documentation.
+ Perform inventory counts.
+ Execute additional duties as assigned and follow verbal instructions regarding tasks to be performed.
**Essential Skills**
+ Experience with microscope, assembly, and inspection in a medical device manufacturing environment.
+ Proficiency in catheter assembly and inspection.
+ Strong communication skills and ability to follow SOP and Line Clearance protocols.
+ Experience working with adhesives, EFD dispensers, and UV curing systems.
+ Hands-on experience with cleanroom operations, SMT machines, and rework processes.
+ SMT Operator experience.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in medical device assembly and production or small electronics.
+ Hands-on experience in a manufacturing, production, or prototyping environment.
+ Experience in manufacturing catheter products is a plus.
+ Proficiency in using required safety equipment during lab work.
+ Prior experience in microscope and medical assembly.
+ Prior cleanroom experience.
+ Ability to understand and perform in-process inspections to assure workmanship and quality of in-process medical devices.

**Work Environment**
Work on the 2nd shift from 2:40 PM to 11:10 PM. Overtime is available after the shift, providing flexibility. The role requires adherence to cleanroom protocols to maintain product quality and safety.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Carlsbad, California.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $23.00/hr.
