Position Summary

The Assembler is responsible for maintaining production of Biological/Chemical Indicators and packaging them.

Duties Ability to assemble based on knowledge of the functions of major component parts and sub-assemblies within an assigned area. Use and understand test equipment and trouble shoot. Maintain published productivity standards on moderately challenging assemblies by utilizing a traveler, blueprint and standard work. Maintain high quality standards (meet the departments published quality rating). Maintain safe work areas and practice safe work habits. Apply 5S tools to include the T-card system.

 

Duties - cont'd Education Degree High School Diploma or GED Required Experience Knowledge, understanding and application of Lean Manufacturing tools, such as, 5S, Kanban Inventory.  Experience using test equipment and related troubleshooting. Ability to make decisions and stay quality focused Ability to understand and follow work instructions, both written and oral. Ability to adapt to conditions as dictated by business requirements. Proven teamwork experience. Ability to work overtime, if required. Knowledge, understanding and application of Lean Manufacturing tools, such as, 5S, Kanban Inventory.

 

Preferred Experience Prior assembly work preferred Skills

Pay rate for this opportunity is $20.19. This position is eligible for bonus participation. 

 

Minimum pay rates offered will comply with county/city minimums, if higher than range listed.  Pay rates are based on a number of factors, including but not limited to local labor market costs, years of relevant experience, education, professional certifications, foreign language fluency, etc.
