Position Summary: The Assembler is responsible for performing assembly operations using various tools to meet quality requirements and customer demands. Assembly operations may include lifting, bolting, torquing, testing, and other tasks. Job Functions: + Ensure daily equipment inspections are completed before use in assembly. + Successfully operate one assembly station. + Perform specific duties in assembly areas and substations as assigned. + Perform rework / remodel on units if/when needed. + Perform Quality checks and submit completed checklist. + Transfer completed units to staging or final inspection area. + Complete kitting functions as needed. + Operate tractors, excavators, forklifts, cranes, and other equipment as needed. + Perform and participate in Kaizen, 5S, and Lean Manufacturing practices. Competencies: + Attention to detail. + Teamwork. + Safety awareness. + Quality Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: + Experience with hand tools. + Ability to follow directions, both written and verbal + Lifting requirements: <20 pounds frequently, 21 - 50 pounds often, 50 - 70 pounds occasionally + Regular and reliable attendance is required. Job Qualifications + High school diploma or equivalent preferred. + Experience in a production setting (mechanical assembly preferred) + Ability to work well with others as part of a team.
