Purpose of Role: The role involves performing tasks to assemble knife-gate valves and both heavy and light pumps (acid and water), ensuring precise fitting, alignment, and adjustment of internal components. Skillfully press-fit bearings and rings into acid pumps and valves where close tolerances are critical.

Key Responsibilities:

Use hoists and cranes to position large pumps and valves for assembly and alignment.Fit and align components to meet precise tolerances and ensure proper mechanical function, using detailed technical drawings.Perform pressure and leak tests on acid pumps and valves, including steam jacket connections.Move completed units to shipping using overhead cranes, forklifts, or hand dollies, and notify inspection upon completion.Safety First: Demonstrate 100% commitment to our zero harm behaviors in support of our drive towards developing a world class safety culture.

Job Knowledge/Education and Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED required; 1–3 years of related experience or training preferred. Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered.Proficient with hand and power tools (e.g., ratchets, wrenches, screw guns, saws); experience in measuring and building custom crating boxes for product protection and shipment.Able to interpret safety rules, technical documents, and diagrams; capable of solving practical problems with limited standardization.Basic proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment near moving parts, using PPE, and performing physical tasks (lifting up to 45 lbs with assistance). Willingness to work overtime, especially at month-end.
