You will be a key part of our Operations team and support our customers by effectively assembling and tearing down mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic Maintenance of Way (MOW) equipment. How will you make a difference? As a member of the Arcola Operations team, you will be responsible for applying your mechanical skills to assemble world-class Roadway Work assemblies and work-heads. What do we want to know about you? + HS Diploma or equivalent, along with a minimum of three (3) years experience (Trade school or college classes may be substituted for experience) + Must have the ability to read and understand drawings and schematics + Knowledge of hand tools and their proper and safe use + Basic Electrical wiring skills + Knowledge of air arcing, gas cutting and plasma cutting What will your typical day look like? + Clean parts as required using solvent tank or pressure washer + Determine identity and locate components and transport them to work area + Obtain necessary tools and equipment + Plan assembly and wiring sequence for point to point, direct or harness wiring + Lubricate, change fluids/filters, and fuel machinery + Assemble and build experimental assemblies as directed + Setup, align and assemble parts and sub-assemblies with emphasizes on quality + Handle material, tools and equipment manually or with jib crane, performing own hitching as required + Rebuild assemblies and clean, repair, reassemble, and adjust assemblies as necessary + Spray paint parts as required using aerosol paint What about the physical demands of the job? + Work is primarily medium duty and requires the ability to regularly lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds. + This position requires the ability to sit, stand and walk unassisted. + Requires the use of hands and fingers to handle or feel objects, tools or controls. + The employee is required to talk and hear. Normal correctable vision is required. + Will require the ability to work overtime when needed The hourly rate for this role is in the range of $20.00 - $28.00 per hour The actual salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors, such as: training, transferable skills, work experience, education, business needs, market demands and work location.
