Do you want to help us build the DNA of tech.? Vishay Do you want to help us build the DNA of tech.? Vishay Barry is currently seeking applicants for an Assembler 1 in the Tape and Reel area. The Assembler 1 is responsible for packing of electronic components. The Assembler 1 will have an opportunity to enhance their manufacturing skills by working in multiple areas in the Assembly Department. The Assembler 1 will handle, test, and inspect small electrical components. Job Location: Vishay Barry is located in Attleboro, MA that is conveniently located near the main highways as well as some highly recommended restaurants. There are 70 employees across two shifts working at our 40,000 sq. ft. facility of manufacturing space. This would be an on-site position. What you will be doing: + Setup and operate a manual tape and reel machine. + Read and interpret the instructions on the traveler and customer specifications to process the order. + Handle small electrical components. + Using a microscope and tweezers, visually inspect product and document the results. + Tasks may vary requiring flexibility and versatility, such as cover assembly, electrical tests, visual inspection, packaging, and other miscellaneous functions. + Computer skills are required to record work performed. + Maintain cleanliness of equipment and assigned work area. What you will bring along: + High School diploma or GED equivalent required. + 1+ years of experience in production/manufacturing/machine operation preferred but not required. + Ability to look at parts as small as 1/32" in size under magnification. + Excellent eye-hand coordination and good manual dexterity. + High value on quality work and detail oriented. + Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. + Fast learner + Ability to perform work under a microscope and able to identify defects. + Computer experience required. + Self-motivated with a strong sense of personal ownership and a team attitude.
