Description
We are looking for a dedicated Associate Patient Care Coordinator to join our team in Chandler, Arizona. The Associate Patient Care Coordinator contract position focuses on delivering exceptional customer service while guiding patients through the registration process in an Emergency Department setting. The Associate Patient Care Coordinator involves ensuring accurate patient information, addressing financial responsibilities, and providing clear explanations regarding hospital policies and patient rights.
Responsibilities:
• Accurately identify patients and collect comprehensive demographic information during the registration process.
• Verify insurance coverage, eligibility, and benefits to ensure proper reimbursement for services rendered.
• Assess patient financial obligations and collect payments as needed, adhering to organizational policies.
• Refer patients to the Patient Registration Specialist for financial counseling or clearance when necessary.
• Explain hospital policies, patient financial responsibilities, and rights to patients and their families.
• Maintain compliance with all procedures and policies related to patient registration and financial liability resolution.
• Serve as a reliable information source for patients by addressing inquiries and concerns professionally.
• Collaborate with team members to streamline the registration process and enhance the patient experience.
• Ensure all documentation is completed accurately and in a timely manner.
• Provide support in handling various administrative tasks within the Emergency Department.
Requirements • Strong customer service skills with a commitment to creating a positive patient experience.
• Knowledge of hospital policies, insurance processes, and reimbursement procedures.
• Experience in patient registration or a related field, with proficiency in collecting and verifying demographic data.
• Familiarity with financial counseling and patient liability determination.
• Ability to explain complex policies and procedures clearly to patients and families.
• Proficiency in handling sensitive patient information securely and accurately.
• Understanding of TRICARE, NIS, and other insurance benefits.
• Excellent organizational and multitasking skills, especially in high-pressure environments such as Emergency Departments. TalentMatch®
