DESCRIPTION:

The Asphalt and Paving Supervisor position is responsible for supervising the paving crew and managing the day-to-day operations, but not limited to communication with truck drivers; handling the aspects related to plant personnel and customers; scheduling and necessary maintenance.

Responsibilities and Duties (but not limited to the following)

Oversee the day-to-day operations of asphalt paving projects

Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations

Coordinate with project managers, contractors, and other stakeholders

Develop project plans and schedules

Monitor the quality of materials and workmanship

Supervise paving crews and provide guidance and training

Inspect completed work to ensure it meets specifications

Manage project budgets and control costs

Handle any issues or emergencies that arise during the project

Prepare reports and documentation for project progress

REQUIREMENTS:

Must have at least 5 years of verifiable experience as an Asphalt Paving Superintendent or Supervisor.

Proven track record of managing paving projects

At least 2 years of experience in the construction of HMA Pavement Runways, Taxiways, Apron or Aircraft Parking

Knowledgeable in trouble shooting of HMA Paving Problems such Segregation, Density and Smoothness Issues.

Knowledge of asphalt paving techniques and equipment

Attentive to detail and knowledgeable in FAA and/or US Air Force Asphalt Paving Quality, Specifications and Job Mix Formula.

Experience in FAA and/or US Military Projects is a plus.

Ability to work under tight deadlines

Physical stamina and ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions

Certifications in construction safety and project management

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings

Knowledge of local, state, and federal construction regulations

High school diploma or equivalent

Valid driver's license

Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. and its Territories

Must be able to work on U.S. Military Project(s) based in Northern Mariana Island / Tinian
