Salary: $300 / Week Job Summary: Amergis is seeking skilled and compassionate American Sign Language (ASL) Interpreters to support our clients by facilitating effective communication between Deaf or Hard-of-Hearing individuals and hearing individuals. These roles offer flexible scheduling and can be performed remotely or in person, depending on assignment needs and candidate availability. Key Responsibilities: + Provide accurate and culturally appropriate ASL interpretation in various settings (e.g., educational, medical, professional). + Interpret spoken language into ASL and vice versa during meetings, appointments, and other interactions. + Maintain confidentiality and adhere to professional standards and ethics. + Collaborate with team members and clients to ensure communication needs are met. + Prepare for assignments by reviewing relevant materials and terminology. Qualifications: + Fluency in American Sign Language and English. + Certification from RID (Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf) or equivalent preferred. + Prior experience in ASL interpretation (minimum 1 year preferred). + Strong interpersonal and communication skills. + Ability to work independently and adapt to various environments. + Reliable internet connection and appropriate equipment for remote assignments (if applicable).
