Asia Equities Product Controller Associate

This is a great opportunity to join the Asia Equities Derivatives Group and Market Risk Reporting Product Control teams.

As an Equities Derivatives Group and Market Risk Reporting Product Controller – Associate within the Product Control team, you will support financial controllers and trading desks to ensure accurate execution of risk, Profit & Loss, balance sheet, and month-end close procedures. You will assist with daily risk and Profit & Loss reporting, provide detailed financial analysis, and coordinate with various front and back office support functions. Your role will focus on promoting risk and profit and loss accuracy, ensuring precise balance sheet management, and streamlining month-end close procedures. This position offers the opportunity to develop strong working relationships and enhance your analytical skills.

Job Responsibilities:

Assist with daily risk, P&L reporting and month-end close processesUnderstand key risk measures (such as Greeks) and risk metrics (such as VaR and Stress)Monitor Equities trading limits, maintain limit framework and escalate/explain limit breaches to risk managersSupport the production of daily VaR and weekly stress resultsProvide detailed analysis and reporting on the risk and financials to desk heads, risk managers, business managers, and senior finance managementPartner with the business to drive forth and implement robust controls and new business initiativesDrive coordination across various front & back office support functions to ensure resolution of control and reporting issues in an accurate and timely mannerServe as an analytical and project support resource for product controlHandle various ad-hoc requests on a daily basis

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

3+ years experience within Product Control, Financial Control, Accounting, or related areaExperience doing P&L and month end close processSolid understanding of financial products including derivativesHigh proficiency using Microsoft Office including but not limited to Excel (VBA) and AccessBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or related areaAbility and drive to improve current processes and achieve efficienciesStrong analytical skills and attention to detail including a strong control focusSelf-motivated and comfortable working with large amounts of dataExcellent communication skills and ability to develop strong working relationships

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

Understanding of tools such as Alteryx/Tableau Solid understanding of financial products would be advantageousKnowledge of market risk metrics and financial products is required, knowledge on equity derivatives is a plus
