Reuters is seeking a Hong Kong-based Asia Capital Markets and Regulations Correspondent at a time when a revival in fundraising by companies in the region, mainly those in China, is being tested by the market volatility induced by the ongoing global trade tensions. The high-profile beat includes breaking news on IPOs and other forms of fundraising by companies in markets that stretch from China to Japan and India to South Korea, as well as regulatory changes that have a bearing on capital market activities. The role will also focus on writing agenda-setting trend analyses on topics related to capital raising and changes in regulatory landscapes, and working on deeply reported enterprise stories for a global readership at a time when the heightened Sino-US tensions have put a spotlight on how Chinese companies, in particular, are going to weather the geopolitical challenges and access foreign capital in offshore markets including Hong Kong and New York.
