Position Summary

We are actively recruiting for an ASC Medical Assistant to join our growing team at Midwest Eye Center.

Responsibilities Assist with Laser proceduresAssist with Room turnover for surgeriesObtaining and documenting patient history Administering eye drops, ointments, and irrigating solutions to the eye as ordered by the physician Performing office duties and clinical tasks - entering data into EMR Providing patient services Obtaining supplies from other areas as needed Returning supplies and equipment to the appropriate location Assisting in keeping the Central Sterile area neat and orderly Effecting handling health or safety hazards for self and patientsReporting any unusual occurrences or incidents accurately to the Administrative Director and the Medical Director and Nurse Manager.Maintaining equipment and instrumentsDependable transportation required to travel to other offices as requiredMust be flexible with traveling to various locations as neededAbility to pay attention to detailAbility to maintain confidentialityThe ability to seek instruction in areas where he/she is not knowledgeableThe ability to recognize inconsistenciesPerforming other duties as required Qualifications

• Dependable transportation required to travel to other offices as required

• The ability to recognize inconsistencies

• Medical office experience preferred

• CPR certified

 

Education:

• Graduation from an accredited high school
