About the Role

The Business Intelligence and AI team at Caterpillar Financial Services is on a mission to make enterprise data easy to find, easy to use — and accessible through conversation.

We’re looking for a hands-on AI Engineer to help bring AI to the heart of our data ecosystem. In this role, you’ll lead research, prototyping, and development of solutions that bring business partners closer to data through conversational AI. You’ll collaborate with business stakeholders, data engineers, analysts, architects, and leadership to create AI-powered experiences that unlock insights — through natural language, not just dashboards.

What you will have

10 years of experience delivering AI/ML or data-driven production systems at scaleDeep understanding of conversational AI, LLMs, GPT-based models, and AI agentsHands-on experience with Python and modern AI/ML librariesStrong experience with Snowflake, agentic frameworks, and multi-agent orchestrationAbility to rapidly prototype solutions across a range of technologiesUnderstanding of enterprise data architectures and self-service analytics needsExperience moving prototypes into production in enterprise environments (operations)Excellent collaboration and communication skills; able to partner effectively across data, engineering, and business teams

Degree Requirement

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field, and a strong portfolio of applied AI work.

Summary Pay Range:

$116,532.00 - $216,384.00

Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
