Art Director

Senior Designer

We are looking for an Art Director to join our expanding Enterprise In-House Creative team. 

The Art Director will be responsible for developing insight-driven, scroll-stopping creative concepts that bring the brief and strategy to life in ways that help disrupt the assumptions of our audiences. You will collaborate with creative team members and marketing partners on programs that build familiarity drive business growth.

An expert designer and visual thinker who passionately drives design from concept through execution and delivery with a keen eye for detail and quality of craftAn idea machine who has the ability to translate complex business strategies and product information into relatable concepts that inspire, inform and drive action for all audiencesA strategic thinker with core competencies and broad understanding of marketing communications strategy across multiple mediaChannel agnostic. You understand best practice for all channels and deliverables; video, digital, social, print, experientialCurious. You stay on top of emerging trends, keeping the pulse of advertising industry shiftsA steward of the Guardian brand, responsible for establishing and maintaining consistency with regard to visual style across all channels and brand experiencesGatekeeper for quality control of creative with respect to assigned projects


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Listening, asking, researching, prioritizing and translating marketing goals and key messages into strategic creative concepts and designsEnsuring consistent and respectful communication to Guardian’s various audiences, in keeping with overall brand standardsSolving complex communication needs using the ability to organize and architect information into concept and visual solutions that are breakthrough and compellingConsultation with internal client partners on tactical and creative approach

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor’s degree and portfolio or portfolio link requiredMinimum of 5 years of experience in a creative services position, preferably including prior employment with an advertising agency, corporate marketing organization, or digital agencySuperior understanding of advertising and marketing principlesDemonstrated talent for high-caliber creative conceptingProven ability to solve problems, architect informationMastery of Adobe Creative CloudProficiency with FigmaAbility to work effectively in a dynamic, matrix-oriented environmentStrong relationship management skills: ability to foster collaboration, value other perspectivesExcellent oral and written communication skills

Salary Range:

$80,940.00 - $132,975.00

The salary range reflected above is a good faith estimate of base pay for the primary location of the position. The salary for this position ultimately will be determined based on the education, experience, knowledge, and abilities of the successful candidate. In addition to salary, this role may also be eligible for annual, sales, or other incentive compensation.
