The Role
The key focus of the Area Manager will be the management of their team and vehicle fleet requirements in order to meet operational goals. The successful candidate will be a self-motivated individual and will be required to undertake all operational duties involved with the successful running of our locations. This exciting and fast paced role presents an excellent opportunity for a talented individual to utilise their leadership skills and operations expertise.
Responsibilities
Effectively manage the vehicle fleet levels and employee rostering to meet customer demands
Print, action and monitor reports / financial plans and contribute to the development of the annual business plan for the location
Continually compare location performance against the strategic plan, and implement necessary contingency measures to ensure targets are achieved
Monitor the level of customer service being delivered and continually identify and implement strategies to increase customer satisfaction
Create and facilitate a team environment
Ensure effective performance management practices are applied at all locations
Identify and continually monitor employee needs and implement actions to increase employee satisfaction and manage the performance of employees as needed
Contribute to the development of the annual business plan
Proactively seek solutions to problems identified
Monitor to ensure compliance with company policies
Other duties as may be required from time to time
Ensure Quality Assurance standards are achieved or exceeded
Skills & Experience
Previous experience leading and inspiring a team in a similar role and/or environment (car rental industry experience being advantageous)
The ability to provide coaching and feedback to our employees
The ability to use your initiative and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
Conflict resolution skills
Excellent computer proficiency especially with MS Office
The ability to maximise performance of the team
Knowledge of relevant industrial relations legislation
