Purpose of Role: Are you a persistent, industry focussed and solutions based individual who thrives on thinking outside the box to deliver a quality product to your sites and clients?

Weir Minerals is seeking an experienced Area Manager, to support the NT Region.

Working with all levels of maintenance, production, processing and management, you will maintain current relationships and create new ones through both face-to-face site visits and office based communications.

Using your well-versed business development skills, you will foster trust, reliability and strength through knowledge of the Weir Group of products and services, with the ultimate goal of providing integrated solutions.

The role reports into the Regional Manager - Queensland and Darwin based when not travelling.

Key Responsibilities:

Focus on aftermarket support for all Weir equipment to ensure strong spare parts and service business performance.Analysing and determining the most crucial needs of key customers and engaging all necessary WMA Product Manager’s and Service Specialists to provide outstanding customer service levels.Develop marketing strategies in conjunction with the Regional ManagerRegular detailed measurement of TOC “Total Ownership Costs”, whereby reporting of current TOC, improvement and savings is a routine activityTrial proposals are to be presented based on a commercially justifiable business case to improve the customer’s TOCTrack & report market share and opportunity GAP analysis focusing on closing the gapReport weekly on past and planned activities and provide details of significant market issues (customer and competitor)Train key customer personnel in the application and operation of Company products

Job Knowledge/Education and Qualifications:

Experience in processing, mechanical engineering or background as a fitter with advanced technical training beneficialKnowledge of coal mining clients, processes and site requirements desirableProven experience and ability to present proposals to customersAbility to problem solve and be an active listenerWell-developed written and verbal communication skillsHigh level of initiative and problem-solving skills with the ability and drive to follow through with required actionsCurrent drivers licenceWilling to undergo medical with drug & alcohol testing
