The purpose of this role is to support the Weir Minerals business by providing focused aftermarket support for all Weir equipment, ensuring strong spare parts and service business performance.

Additionally, it involves analyzing key customer needs, engaging relevant Product Managers and Service Specialists, and fostering trust through face-to-face interactions and knowledge of Weir Group products and services.

Key Responsibilities: 

Develop marketing strategies with the Sales Manager.Promote and embody Weir Values.Commission Weir products in the designated area.Troubleshoot equipment and service issues.Measure and report Total Ownership Costs (TOC) regularly.Present trial proposals to improve TOC based on a business case.Track and report market share and opportunity gap analysis.Focus on closing market share gaps.Provide accurate quarterly budgeting and forecasting.Drive new business development for year-on-year growth.Achieve and exceed business input order targets for allocated customers.Develop growth and aftermarket retention strategies.Customize strategies to individual customer needs.Report weekly on past and planned activities.Highlight significant market issues (customer and competitor).Prepare and deliver monthly and quarterly Key Account Reports.Prepare Call Reports after each customer visit.Register customer complaints within 24 hours.Initiate and follow up on Product Performance Reports (PPR).Measure prospects for all products and gather market intelligence.

Job Knowledge/Education and Qualifications:

Proven expertise in both the technical and practical application of Warman pumpsMinimum of two (2) years’ experience in a sales role within the minerals processing industry or similar, managing multiple products and services.Prior experience with Weir Products would be highly advantageous.Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.Moderate office environment with regular exposure to loud mine sites.Appropriate PPE should be worn in site and workshop environmentAbility to travel to Alcoa client sites 3 – 4 days a week.
