About the Role
As an Area Manager for Managed Fleet, you’ll play a pivotal leadership role in the success of the Pro Driver – Managed Fleet program, a partnership between Hertz and a shared mobility platform. This program empowers professional drivers to earn an hourly wage while driving on the platform during their shifts.
In this role, you’ll lead day-to-day operations, champion performance and safety, and guide team members through every stage of their journey—from hiring and onboarding to coaching and career development. You’ll also help launch new locations and cultivate a culture of collaboration, inclusion, and shared success.

The salary for this opportunity is $80k/yr.
What You’ll Do
· Lead daily operations across multiple Managed Fleet locations, ensuring goals are met for efficiency, safety, compliance, and customer satisfaction.
· Launch new sites and ensure each location is thoughtfully staffed and prepared for success.
· Own the full employee experience: recruit, hire, train, coach, and support a part-time workforce of professional drivers.
· Create a welcoming and inclusive team culture where everyone feels valued, heard, and supported.
· Lead with positivity and purpose, fostering a workplace where team members feel energized, respected, and proud of their contributions.
· Conduct ongoing safety training and coaching using telematics, cameras, and scorecards.
· Champion a culture of safety and ensure compliance with Hertz standards and local regulations.
· Monitor and analyze key performance indicators including vehicle utilization, driver efficiency, and retention.
· Provide clear, constructive feedback and performance reviews that support growth and development.
· Encourage open communication, continuous learning, and collaboration across all levels of the team.
· Lead with empathy, accountability, and a commitment to nurturing talent and potential.
What We’re Looking For
· Bachelor’s Degree preferred
· 5+ years of management experience in a customer-focused or operations environment
· Experience in car rental, transportation, or mobility industries preferred
· Proven ability to build and lead inclusive, high-performing teams
· Strong interpersonal skills and a motivating leadership style
· Passion for mentoring and developing others
· Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to change
· Excellent communication and presentation skills
· Commitment to safety, compliance, and operational excellence
· Familiarity with labor laws and workforce management tools
