Your role:

The Area Business Manager (ABM) is a field sales role that is accountable for the strategic business management and sales results of an individual territory, serving as the liaison between customers and EMD Serono. The role focuses on growing product performance by identifying customer needs and providing customer-centered solutions, building customer alliances, and working collaboratively with the overlapping Thought Leader Liaison. You have solid business acumen, possess strong consultative selling skills, keen analytical skills, and an established network of business relationships with neurologists treating patients with multiple sclerosis. We are seeking strong and determined sales leaders willing to make a daily impact on patient outcomes!

Achieve territory sales goals and objectives Expand the number prescribers and strengthen current prescriber positions with a multi-product portfolio.Demonstrate strong collaborative approach with internal and external stakeholders to meet customer needs.Develop and maintain strong working relationships with the MS/neurology medical community, with a high-science approach focused on identifying needs and providing solutions.Maintain a superior level of product, market, reimbursement, formulary, managed care, and customer knowledge.Plan and implement effective professional and patient education programs.Demonstrate strong critical analysis and planning skills in reviewing data, understanding trends, and preparing/executing applicable plans.Display the highest level of professionalism, ethical behavior, and integrity in all aspects of the ABM role. Operates compliantly and consistently with Company & PhRMA guidelines.Pursue individual improvement over time against Competency Model.Territory consists of Los Angeles CA, Glendale, Santa Monica, Thousand oaks, West Hollywood, Valencia, Fresno, Bakersfield, and HawaiiSome overnight travel may be required, estimated less than 30% of time

 

Located: Field sales covering/traveling to Los Angeles CA, Glendale, Santa Monica, Thousand oaks, West Hollywood, Valencia, Fresno, Bakersfield, and Hawaii

 

Who you are:

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in any subject area5+ years sales experience in the pharmaceutical/healthcare industry with demonstrated success in sales performanceA valid and active driver’s license 

 

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in MS, neurology, immunology, CNS or specialty biologics markets.Maintain personal level of accountability and ownership of results.Self-motivated and thrives with change.Proven ability to communicate and collaborate across teams in successful pursuit of goals.Scientific or clinical background.Strong technical proficiency with experience selling in a virtual environment using digital tools.Knowledge of managed care and reimbursement systems and experience with pull-through strategies.Able to support multiple tasks, initiatives, and projects simultaneously.Passion for patients.

 

Base Pay Range for this position - $133,800 – $200,700

 

Our ranges are derived from several sources, and largely reliant on relevant industry market data. This role may also be eligible for short-term or long-term incentive compensation, including, but not limited to, cash bonuses.
