The Opportunity with McKinstry

We are adding an Architectural Project Designer II to our growing McKinstry’s Architectural team.  Your passion, experience and endless curiosity will be important in our drive for transformative change in the industry. Some responsibilities you will have include:

Work within McKinstry’s Architectural team on a variety of quick-turn, fast-paced projects Responsible for coordinating the production of deliverables throughout the architectural design processResponsible for supporting the Architectural Project Manager with the following:Production of construction documentsTechnical detailingRevit modeling and BIM360Building code and ADA researchFF&E research and selectionsConcept and design developmentProject schedulingCross-disciplinary coordinationConstruction administration dutiesConsistent communication and follow-through

What You Need to Succeed at McKinstry

Proficiency and experience working effectively and efficiently with Revit 3-D modeling, BIM360, and project coordination requiredProficiency and experience creating and coordinating construction documents requiredUnderstanding of architectural detailing and construction methodsKnowledge of Building code, ADA and jurisdictional/permitting processesAbility to lead development and updates of team design standards, templates and Revit/BIM processesAbility to create meetings minutes, reports, conduct occupancy and code calculations with oversightCuriosity and passion for understanding and learning more about the architectural design process, and a desire to take on more responsibilitiesExperience with Construction Administration duties including submittal reviews, RFI responses, communicating with jurisdictionsAbility to work with assigned project team productively and collaborativelyProficient in MS Office programsArchitectural licensure or in-progress to licensure preferredNCARB certificate is preferredLEED AP preferredExperience with SketchUp software a plusExperience with Adobe Creative Suite a plusBachelor’s degree in ArchitectureMinimum 5 years related experience

The pay range for this position is $69,840 - $107,800 per year; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Base pay information is based on market location. A bonus may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
