Job Title: Architectural Designer – Commercial Projects

Position Overview

We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Architectural Designer to join our dynamic team in downtown Milwaukee. This role focuses on the design and development of commercial projects, including office buildings, retail spaces, mixed-use developments, and hospitality environments. The ideal candidate will bring creativity, technical expertise, and a collaborative spirit to help shape the urban landscape of Milwaukee through innovative and functional design solutions.

Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop conceptual designs, schematic layouts, and detailed construction documents for commercial projectsCollaborate with project teams, consultants, and clients throughout all phases of design and constructionConduct site analysis, zoning research, and feasibility studies to inform design decisionsPrepare presentations and visualizations using tools such as SketchUp, Revit, AutoCAD, and Adobe Creative SuiteEnsure compliance with local building codes, ADA standards, and sustainability guidelinesParticipate in design reviews, client meetings, and coordination sessions with engineers and contractorsSupport project management tasks including scheduling, budgeting, and documentationQualificationsBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture from an accredited institution2–5 years of professional experience in architectural design, preferably in commercial projectsProficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite; Rhino and Enscape experience a plusStrong understanding of building systems, materials, and construction methodsExcellent communication, presentation, and organizational skillsAbility to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environmentKnowledge of Milwaukee’s urban context and regulatory environment is preferredLEED accreditation or progress toward licensure is a plus
Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $35.00/hr.
