FBM Architecture Ltd. (FBM) and Dillon Consulting Limited are strategic business partners. FBM is one of Atlantic Canada’s most award-winning architecture, interior design, and planning firms. We are looking to recruit a BIM Manager to work a full-time, mostly in-person position out of our brand-new office in Halifax, NS, one of the first significant multi-storey mass timber structures in Atlantic Canada.
A studio of collaborating architects, interior designers, planners, and various subject matter experts, we are responsible for the design of a wide range of built environments. Specialty areas of practice—research, accessibility, envelope, and sustainable design—complement our core offerings and further our understanding of holistic building science and user experience. For more than 100 years, we have been creating spaces that enhance the quality of life within them and the communities they serve. We call this people-driven design.
Who We Are Looking For
As BIM Manager, you will lead FBM by providing a supportive and mentoring role to architects, interior designers, technologists and technicians. By joining FBM, you'll have the ability to work independently with the benefits and support of a well-established, multi-disciplinary architectural and design studio.

Contribute to the 'FBM Technology Advisory Committee, which leads technology and protocol initiatives for the office.Manage subscriptions (Autodesk, Bluebeam)Manage Autodesk Update installations and configurationsFrontline support for PC and general software issues before escalated to ITNew employee onboarding for Autodesk software, project BIM Standards, and office library orientationMaintain the BIM Content LibraryAssess Request for Proposals related to BIM requirementsMaintain projects on the Autodesk Construction CloudProvide BIM software training and presentations to staff QualificationsWhat You Need To Succeed
The ideal candidate must have a keen interest and passion for teaching and is a great communicator.Post-secondary degree or Diploma within the AEC Industry, ideally coming from experience in the industry as a BIM ManagerProficient in using BIM authoring tools (Autodesk suite, i.e. Revit, AutoCAD, Civil3D, etc.) Experience Notable experience in the coordination and production of BIM Models across all project phases and stakeholdersExperience in training and/or educating others is keyExperienced BIM user compelled by the progression of BIM tools and technology within an architectural context.
