Job DescriptionWe are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Architect Inspector to join our team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. As an Architect Inspector, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality, safety, and compliance of architectural projects throughout the city and surrounding areas.
Conduct thorough inspections of buildings and construction sites to verify compliance with local building codes, regulations, and approved plansReview architectural plans, blueprints, and specifications for accuracy and adherence to standardsIdentify and document structural or design issues, code violations, and safety hazardsPrepare detailed inspection reports and communicate findings to relevant stakeholdersCollaborate with architects, engineers, and contractors to resolve design and construction issuesStay up-to-date with changes in building codes, regulations, and industry best practicesParticipate in pre-construction meetings and provide guidance on compliance requirementsPerform final inspections and issue occupancy permits when appropriateTravel to various sites within Riyadh and surrounding areas as neededEvaluate projects for adherence to sustainable building practices and green building standardsEnsure compliance with local zoning laws and urban planning regulationsQualificationsBachelor's degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, or a related fieldMinimum of 15 years of experience in architecture or building inspectionProfessional certification in building inspection (e.g., ICC certification)Proficiency in architectural design software such as AutoCAD and RevitIn-depth knowledge of building codes and regulations, particularly those applicable in Saudi ArabiaStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detailExcellent written and verbal communication skills in English; Arabic language skills are a plusDemonstrated ability to read and interpret architectural plans and blueprintsFamiliarity with local construction practices and materials used in Saudi ArabiaExperience with construction site inspections and safety protocolsStrong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneouslyWillingness to travel within Riyadh and surrounding areas for on-site inspectionsKnowledge of sustainable building practices and green building standardsFamiliarity with local zoning laws and urban planning regulationsAbility to work collaboratively in a team environmentCommitment to maintaining professional standards and ethical practicesAdditional InformationAbout AECOM
