Job Description

SUMMARY

The Operational Experience Portfolio is responsible for providing world-class logistics systems for our global staff. The Portfolio Architect is responsible for providing architectural clarity in support of business needs including aligning with enterprise strategic direction. There are approximately 30 agile teams within the portfolio, many aligned with agile release trains (ART’s). As a technical leader you provide direction within the portfolio and collaborate with enterprise, portfolio, system architects across the network. This is a crucial role that supports the modernization of our systems into cloud architecture, facilitating the migration of critical legacy systems that are essential for generating revenue for the organization.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Collaborating with the Enterprise, Portfolio, and System Architects to contribute to, understand and support the strategic technical directionCommunicating the strategic technical direction to OXP portfolio as needed and formally as we hold Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) ceremonies for planning program incrementsCollaborating with agile teams and portfolio management to provide a high-level, all-inclusive vision of solutions and development initiativesExpertise in various cloud native technologies and experience in modernizing legacy technologiesUnderstanding and communicating strategic themes, and other key business drivers for architecture, to system architects and nontechnical stakeholdersUnderstand the architecture of all systems and address conflicting or divergent approachesPromoting continuous delivery pipeline and DevOps capabilitiesFacilitating the reuse of code, components, and proven patternsCoach and lead system architects and identify training opportunitiesCreate and implement strategies for technology adoption across the portfolio

This position is on-site and will reside in the greater Seattle, WA. area at one of the following locations depending on availability. Candidates must be local or willing to relocate. Relocation assistance is not offered for this position.

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

MS Computer Science or related degreeExperience in technical roles such as engineer, architect, or technical leadership positions in software development (10+ years of experience)Designing, implementing, and supporting environments using cloud infrastructure technologies ideally in AzureDemonstrated transformation from OnPrem using Cobol or similar languages to cloud Azure or other public cloud environmentsThrives in a fast-moving multi-context environmentDemonstrated leadership, communication, and execution capabilitiesFamiliarity with a variety of technology stacksExperienced problem solver, strong collaborator and able to provide clarity around complex topicsAssertive personality, interpersonal, action and outcome driven leadershipAbility to promote autonomy, mastery and purpose, through empowerment and creating leaders
