Job Duties: Analyze and identify technical areas for improvement within existing applications. Create designs for feature areas that take into consideration the entire product life cycle. Lead analysis, design and development of software in a cross-functional technical team. Influence development and maturation of the product and technology vision and strategy. Lead design reviews and articulate key design principals for feature areas to immediate team and management. Lead and mentor other developers in coding complex technical solutions. Keep abreast of new technology patterns and trends. Lead the evolution of standards and technology (tools, conventions, and design patterns). Influence of discovery and decision-making process when changes to standards and technology are required. Independently develop and implement software for ecommerce applications and related technology. Lead code reviews to ensure functional performance specifications are met and engineering standards are followed. Create self-documenting designs and clearly communicate intent via comments in code, on specifications, in as-build documentation and during code review. Write unit and integration tests for each deliverable, effectively and comprehensively exercising the code. Prepare the introductions of subsequent bugs and correct existing bugs or design issues.
