This position is responsible for driving cross-domain technology plans to align with enterprise goals, business plans and business processes. The Architect will drive architectural designs as well as review technical specification documents created by development teams. They are responsible for evaluating emerging technology for use across multiple domains.. Additional responsibilities include cross-domain technical oversight and mentoring functional architects.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Min 5%) Responsible for combining roadmaps from multiple functional groups to align with goals, business plans and business processes. Coordinate technical and functional architectures to develop project plans encompassing all technical tasks that meet enterprise and business schedules. Responsible for development of technical designs to support delivery of solutions and oversight of multiple projects in project portfolio. Maintain standards on cross-functional initiatives to align with enterprise standards. Evaluate the impacts of new technology on multiple connected systems. Document the implementation of business processes across technical systems.Required Qualifications
Experience: 12+ years of Information Technology experience. 2+ years of experience in architecture for larger organizations.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems or a related field. Any suitable combination of education and experience will be considered.
Preferred knowledge, skills or abilities Retail industry experience preferred Java, Spring Boot, Python experience is a plus Experience delivering API or Microservice applications in an open-source environment Experience delivering cloud-based solutions in either Azure (preferred) or AWS Experience with Message Broker technologies such as Rabbit MQ, Kafka JMS, or ActiveMQ Working Conditions Normal office working conditions Physical Requirements Sitting Standing (not walking) Walking Lifting up to 20 pounds Disclaimer
