Position Summary
The Accounts Receivable (AR) Manager is responsible for planning, organizing, and managing Accounts Receivable functions of ITT Shared Services. This leadership role manages a team and ensures timely, accurate, and efficient management of receivables to maximize cash flow and minimize risk while developing direct and indirect reports. The primary responsibilities of this position include ensuring strong internal controls and processes to deliver Accounts Receivable services to ITT business units, which includes customer credit evaluations, sales order release approvals, collection of Accounts Receivable, application of customer payments, and implementing strategic initiatives in support of ITT Shared Services Global Accounts Receivable organization goals and objectives. This includes, but is not limited to, assisting with the development of the strategic direction and global delivery model of processes, the daily leadership of staff, maintenance of appropriate control environment, and the continuous development and improvement of the service offering. Other duties as assigned.
Essential Responsibilities Lead and manage teams within the Global AR Function, including credit evaluation, collection processes, and cash application. Provides review of customer credit limit assignment and order release functions for business units serviced by Shared Services.Support AR-related system enhancements, process redesign, and/or automation projects. Assist with implementing business systems and processes.Evaluate and refine customer segmentation and risk scoring models to drive collection prioritization and resource allocation.Identify and recommend process improvements and automation opportunities to increase efficiency and accuracy of current processes and procedures – aimed at lowering AR past due and improving cash collections.Champion a culture of continuous improvement through training, process audits, and adoption of best practices in AR operations.Lead with setting up another FRC location for the AR team in ITT’s India location.Partner with Sales, Customer Service, and Key Stakeholders to resolve any issues and collaborate to improve overall experience with the FRC Department.Development/supervision of StaffManage Portfolio PerformanceService Enhancement/Continuous Improvement by implementing ongoing improvements/enhancements to daily processesImplement business systems and processes that meet business requirements and enhance internal controls.
Manage and expand service growth through new business and merger and acquisitionsService Cost/managing cost of operationsSpecial projects as requested
Position RequirementsEducation: B.S. Finance/Accounting; (or equivalent experience) with Credit Certification preferred.
Experience: In depth knowledge of Accounts Receivable processes obtained through more than 10 years of practical AR experience with at least 5 years in a management/leadership role.
Preferred experience in a shared services/centralized services Accounts Receivable environment.
