Kforce has a client that is seeking an AR and Collections Manager in Tarrytown, NY. Summary: This client is one of the leading food packaging/distributors in the country and they have been in business for over 60 years. They are expanding and looking to add an AR and Collections Manager to their team. This role requires an assertive, detail-oriented individual with well-developed interpersonal and communications skills. The successful candidate will manage a team of four professionals, ensuring the timely collection of outstanding invoices, maintaining accurate records, and implementing effective collection strategies. Key Responsibilities: * AR and Collections Manager will oversee the daily operations of the accounts receivable and collections department, managing a team of four * Develop and implement collection strategies to improve cash flow and reduce outstanding receivables * Monitor and analyze accounts receivable aging reports, identifying and addressing overdue accounts * Maintain customer balances clean of deductions and past due invoices * Establish and maintain strong relationships with customers to facilitate timely payments and resolve disputes * Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant regulations regarding credit and collections * As an AR and Collections Manager, you will prepare and present regular reports on collection activities, outstanding receivables, and department performance to senior management * Collaborate with other departments, such as sales and customer service, warehouse and logistics to address billing, payment and deduction issues * Train, mentor, and evaluate the performance of the accounts receivable and collections team
