Description We are looking for an experienced Accounts Receivable (AR) Accountant to join our team on a contract basis in Everett, Washington. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with a solid background in AR functions, including cash applications, collections, and aging reports. Responsibilities: • Process and reconcile cash applications to ensure accurate financial records. • Manage B2B collections by communicating effectively with clients to resolve outstanding payments. • Analyze and maintain accounts receivable aging reports to track overdue accounts. • Collaborate with internal teams to address discrepancies and improve AR processes. • Prepare detailed reports and documentation to support financial audits and reviews. • Utilize Microsoft Excel to organize, analyze, and report AR data. • Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards. • Provide regular updates on collection activities to management. • Assist in identifying and implementing improvements to AR workflows. Requirements • Minimum of 3 years of experience in Accounts Receivable or a related role. • Proficiency in handling B2B collections and aging reports. • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting. • Strong communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with clients. • Attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping. • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. • Familiarity with accounting principles and practices. • Problem-solving skills to address discrepancies and improve processes.
