AR Accountant
Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Receivable (AR) Accountant to join our team on a contract basis in Wilmington, Massachusetts. In this role, you will manage invoicing, payment processing, and account reconciliation to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies. This is an excellent opportunity for someone skilled in corporate tax, sales tax, and general ledger management to contribute to a dynamic environment. Responsibilities: • Generate and issue customer invoices, ensuring all details are accurate and comply with organizational policies. • Process customer payments received through various methods, such as checks and electronic transfers. • Perform regular account reconciliations to identify discrepancies and take corrective actions as needed. • Maintain accurate financial records, ensuring all transactions are properly documented in the general ledger. • Collaborate with internal teams to resolve invoice and payment-related issues efficiently. • Monitor customer accounts for overdue payments and follow up to ensure timely collection. • Assist in preparing sales tax and corporate tax returns in compliance with applicable regulations. • Support the month-end and year-end closing processes by reconciling accounts and preparing necessary reports. Requirements • Proven experience in accounts receivable or a similar accounting role. • Strong understanding of corporate tax and sales tax regulations. • Proficiency in managing general ledger accounts and financial records. • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. • Strong communication skills to interact effectively with customers and internal teams. • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel. • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
