Apprenticeship - Electrical Instrumentation (QQI Level 6)

Key Responsibilities:

The apprentice will be working with the Site Maintenance Team to conduct activities which support the repair, replacement, installation & Maintenance on new & existing equipment in a highly regulated GMP environment to support Production activities at the Eli Lilly Kinsale site. These activities may involve the following but are not limited to

Responsibilities:

Training on Eli Lilly Quality, Environmental & H&S requirementsWorking as part of Maintenance team to help perform a variety of tasks independently and as part of the teamUse mathematics to solve technical or scientific problemsMaintain industrial control systems & Motor control Center's (MCC’s)Repair and calibration of control process systemInterpret electrical and electronic schematic diagramsWork with a variety of specialized hand tools, power tools and equipmentUnderstanding technical drawings and diagramsInstall various types of wiring and cabling systemsWork on machines and processesAnalyse system faultsInstall, service, maintain, and rectify faults in equipmentMonitor equipment conditions using modern maintenance techniquesWrite reports of completed repairs


Key Attributes:

The successful candidate will have:

Applicants must have achieved at least Grade O5 in five Leaving Certificate subjects, including Mathematics and preferably one Technical subject. 

Notes:
These are entry level, on-the-job & classroom training-based programmes and are therefore ideally aimed towards recent school-leavers.
 

The interview process will take place throughout the month of July 2025. Therefore, candidates will need to be available in July 2025 to be considered.
