Apprentice Maintenance

Job details

You will join the maintenance team and will have the opportunity to gain valuable experience from our electrical maintenance technicians. You will also attend a day release to college to gain several academic and vocational qualifications to enable personal development to be competent in the following -

Diagnosing, fault finding and repair of PLCs, Electronic Drives and Electrical control systems on industrial plant and machinery.Completing preventative maintenance checks and inspections.Developing and implementing electrical modifications to improve reliability of plant and machinery.Working as a team with maintenance and manufacturing colleagues.Following all relevant Company, Health and Safety & Quality procedures and processes

Qualifications

5 GCSEs Grade A- D or 3-9, including Mathematics, English Language and Science

Personal qualities

Good practical skills, able to plan and organise themselves, with an aptitude for understanding general technical issues.Self-starter, proactive, prepared to take the initiative and work without direct supervision.It is essential that you can work well in a team and possess good communication/interpersonal skills. We will expect a professional attitude to work and a willingness to learn and develop new skillsWork well under pressure.

Position duration

The position will be offered for the duration of 4 years on the basis that the apprentice will be provided training and development during the period.
