We’re the strategic partners for our TSO customers, supporting the development and production of transmission grids, and helping to facilitate the bulk movement of electrical energy from the site of generation to electrical substations. Making innovation a cornerstone of our work, and R&D a constant investment, we offer both HVAC and HVDC cable systems for power transmission for both land and submarine connections.

We have an opportunity to join the High Voltage Commercial team as an Apprentice. The successful candidate will complete a Business Management and Leadership Degree Apprenticeship.

Typical tasks will include:

Receiving enquiries and managing the tender process for high voltage projects.Compiling, formatting and submitting offers to customersActing as a point of contact for both internal and external communicationsUndertaking post tender discussions, receiving and managing ordersDeveloping and maintaining good commercial relationships with key customersCollation and analysis of market informationSales office administration
 

Skills

Excellent communication and interpersonal skillsGood analytical skillsStrong IT skills, particularly Microsoft ExcelAbility to plan and prioritise own workload.Effective problem solving skills.

You will have high self motivation, be flexible and responsive to change. We will expect a professional attitude to work and a willingness to learn and take initiative. It is essential that you can work well within a team.

This role is based in our offices near the Eastleigh town centre. The address is Prysmian Cables & Systems Limited, Chickenhall Lane, Eastleigh, SO50 6YU. There are good transport links to Eastleigh and the site is approximately 15 minutes walk from the railway station. We are able to offer free car parking next to our offices.
