Description As part of the AWS Hardware Engineering Services (HWEngS) VMP Science team we own and develop the models for improving the cloud hardware experience for all AWS customers. Our goal is to use ML to maximize the quality and quantity of healthy hardware for use by AWS customers via early detection of defects, determine the best path to repairing broken servers, forecast power usage, and other high impact (multiple $B's annually) initiatives. We are looking for a tenacious, passionate, skilled, and inventive Sr Applied Scientist with a background in Machine Learning/Data Processing/LLM to help build ML solutions for AWS HWEngS. You'll be working with talented scientists, software engineers, data engineers, and hardware engineers to automatically unlock massive volume of hardware for our customers. Key job responsibilities As an Sr Applied Scientist, you will implement models that have an immediate and massive impact on the availability (capacity) and health of AWS cloud. Our team works on a variety of projects, applying the best solutions to solve real hardware and forecasting problems at scale. You will be also mentoring junior scientists on the team. The base pay for this position ranges from $150,400/year in our lowest geographic market up to $260,000/year in our highest geographic market.
