Applications Engineer / Technical Support Specialist

Candidates local to the Twin Cities will be required to be in the office on a Hybrid basis.** **WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION:** + Understand challenges faced by prospects, customers, and the industry related to electrical CAD software, and provide support through phone, email, chat, and in-person interactions. + Build and deliver software training and implementation support both online and in person to help customers adopt and use solutions successfully. + Create informative resources including blogs, videos, podcasts, and webinars to support user learning and self-service. + Recommend improvements to customer design and manufacturing processes within electrical control systems to improve performance. + Develop tailored solutions using electrical design and manufacturing applications to address specific customer needs and goals. **YOU HAVE:** + Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, computer science, mechanical engineering, or equivalent work experience. + 3+ years of related experience, 5+ years of experience preferred. + Skilled in technical support, training, field services, and applications engineering, with preferred experience in software implementation. + Experienced in documenting requirements and proposing solutions in electrical or automation contexts; proficient in Microsoft Office and relational databases like MS SQL; programming or project management experience is helpful. + Preferred ECAD design experience with solutions like AUTOCAD Electrical, Zuken E3 series, SOLIDWORKS Electrical, EPLAN. + Available for up to 25% travel. **WE HAVE:** + A dynamic global reach with diverse operations around the world that will stretch your abilities, provide plentiful career opportunities, and allow you to make an impact every day + nVent is a leading global provider of electrical connection and protection solutions. Employee pay within this range will be based on a combination of factors including knowledge, skills, abilities, experience, education, and performance. Where federal, state, or local minimum wage requirements exist, employee pay will comply. This position is posted in multiple locations and as such, the expected job-based pay scale may vary based on the location per the table below: **Compensation Range** **:** Geographic Region A: $76,000.00 - $141,100.00 Geographic Region B: $83,500.00 - $155,200.00 Geographic Region C: $91,100.00 - $169,300.00 Depending on the position offered, employee may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as annual incentives. **Benefit Overview** At nVent, we value our people and their health and well-being.
