Application Engineers are the primary technical resource for our Emerson Impact Partners and Customers and are responsible for actively driving and leading the technology evaluation stage of the quote process and ensuring the order reflects the quote. Working in conjunction with our Impact Partners as the key technical advisor and product advocate, the Applications Engineer must be able to identify and provide reliable solutions for all technical issues to ensure complete customer happiness through all stages of the quote process. The Applications Engineer must be able to establish and maintain positive relationships with our Impact Partners and Customers.
AS AN APPLICATIONS ENGINEER, YOU WILL:
Assist in the engineering and selling of products and serve as a liaison between the Impact Partner and all factory departments. Maintain a proficient level of product knowledge and application. Articulate technology and product positioning to both business and technical users. Provide design and specification development support to Impact Partners and Customers. Listen, understand, and convey customer requirements. Perform technical/ product training for Impact Partner and Customer. Assist in the design and development of new products and tools as necessary. Maintain accurate records of target accounts, opportunities, quotes, projects, contacts, and correspondence. Help to resolve customer issues or difficulties in a manner that is consistent with the company mission, values, and financial objectives. Provide the status of ongoing projects and future projects. Identify customer's needs and sales opportunities to help future growth. Provide training of new Sales Engineers and Sales Associates, and provide business inputs to sales management. Provide technical support for internal engineering inquiries and collaborate with Engineering personnel in other sites. WHO YOU ARE: You persist in the face of challenges and setbacks. Bachelor's degree in Engineering. Experience with order entry, manufacturing, or engineering processes. Ability to travel up to 15% across the United States and Canada. Legal authorization to work in the Canada without sponsorship now or in the futurePREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
