As part of a collaborative development team, you will leverage Microsoft Power Apps, Power Automate, and Dataverse to drive automation, streamline data integration, and improve operational efficiencies.
This position is ideal for a developer with a strong technical background in Power Platform development who thrives in an agile, collaborative and fast-paced environment. Our department delivers new capabilities to districts and operations by deploying solutions in the following key areas – Applications, API Integration, Data Insights and Automation.

Successful candidates must understand or be able to translate complex business requirements into scalable and secure solutions leveraging Microsoft Power Platforms with a strong focus on data integration from Microsoft Fabric. A successful Application Developer will excel at the following:
Proficient in Power Apps, Power Automate, and Dataverse while working closely with data engineers and solutions architects to ensure seamless data sourcing and application development
Design, develop and maintain resilient applications
Implement Cybersecurity and Corporate IS development processes
Collaborate with development team and business stakeholders
QualificationsMajor Duties and Responsibilities
Design, develop and maintain resilient Power Apps solutions in accordance with Expeditors enterprise architectural guidelines.
Implement Power Automate workflows for process automation and systems integration.
Collaborate with data engineering team to connect and consume structured and unstructured data from Expeditors data sources.
Utilizes industry and organizational software development patterns and standards (SDLC)
Translate business requirements into technical solutions
Ensure solutions are scalable, secure and optimized for performance
Identify risks and upholds enterprise cyber security requirements and development guidelines
Collaborates to create and promote best practices within the team and department
Support agile practices and maintain current work management systems
Conduct code reviews and ensure solutions are put through end-to-end testing
Develop and maintain technical documentation
Create, collaborate and promote best practices within the team and department
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in an IT-related field
2+ years of experience in Power Platform development, including Power Apps and Power Automate
Understanding of how Power Platform applications will work with Microsoft Fabric and other cloud-based data sources (for example, Synapse, Azure Data Lake, SQL)
Experience in custom connectors, APIs, and managing integrations with enterprise systems
Experience with Agile software development methodologies
Work effectively with a cross-functional virtual development team
Self-starter with customer service-oriented attitude, and excellent time management
Desired Qualifications
Microsoft Power Platform certifications (PL-200 / PL-400 / PL-900)
Applicable Azure/Power Platform component certifications
Proven track record in automating complex tasks and workflows, with experience in designing and implementing applications.
Additional InformationExpeditors also offers 26 remote days per year that can be used as needed. The entire team is based onsite and works closely with each other which help foster employee growth and job satisfaction.
