We are seeking a talented Applications Developer to join our Technology team at Marsh McLennan. This role will be based in our Kuala Lumpur office. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.
This role is part of our technology team supporting the development and delivery of online medical claims and member enrollment solutions for Korea and Japan. You are a skilled full-stack developer with experience in designing, coding, and testing web applications. You ensure that functionality, user requirements, performance, and security standards are met throughout the software lifecycle.
We will count on you to:
Code, test and debug software programs and meet project plan goalsBe responsible for the full software development lifecycle, including design, programming, system integration testing, and deployment.Ensure technical implementations meet agreed requirements and that the design is scalable to support future growth and enhancements.Adhere to programming best practices to ensure high code quality, readability and maintainability.Align with solution architecture and ensure implementations are compliant with design standards.Work independently to design and develop technical modules.Troubleshoot and resolve coding issues efficiently to ensure system stability.Collaborate with developers, project managers, business analysts, tech leads, and architects to design and document high- and low-level solutions.Identify and implement improvements in existing systems and processes.Provide technical support to business users for escalated issues, ensuring timely resolution and minimal disruption.What you need to have:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.Proficiency in C# with ASP.NET and JavaScript for full-stack web development.Strong skills in HTML, CSS, and frameworks like React or Angular.Experienced in building complex front-end and back-end applications.In-depth understanding of database schema design and extensive experience with relational database management systems (RDBMS).Must have SQL database experience, ability to design tables and schemas based on business logic, ability to create reports and run stored procedures.Proficiency in Object-Oriented Programming (OOP), data structures, algorithms, and design patterns.Over 5 years of experience in solution development and design.Experience in implementing multi-factor authentication; mobile development (Android and iOS) is a plus.Ability to speak Japanese or Korean is preferred.What makes you stand out:
